Welcome to Recurated
Recurated is a fashion marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of secondhand clothing, shoes, and accessories in Malaysia. You can access Recurated through our website at recurated.my or our mobile application (together, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by Vertex Recurated Ventures, a partnership registered in Malaysia under registration number 202603074584 (CA0418513-T), with its registered address at 98-3-23C Prima Tanjung, 11200 Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang (“we,” “our,” or “us”). You can contact us at support@recurated.my.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
Your relationship with us
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies in our Help Centre, govern your use of the Service.
Recurated acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. When you buy or sell an item on Recurated, the contract is directly between you and the other user. Recurated facilitates the transaction but does not own, inspect, or guarantee any item listed unless it goes through our optional Authentication service.
Your privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information, including how we use cookies.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).
Creating an account
To buy or sell on Recurated, you must register for an account using an email address and password, or through approved third-party sign-in services including Apple, Google, or Facebook.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- If your country requires a higher minimum age for data processing consent, you must meet that requirement.
- Each person may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts is a violation of these Terms.
Accuracy of information
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when registering. Providing false information or impersonating another person is a violation of these Terms.
Business accounts
Businesses may use Recurated. Business users must have an authorised representative managing their account and must agree to these Terms on behalf of the business.
Account security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Do not share your password with anyone.
We recommend enabling two-factor authentication for added security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@recurated.my.
Recurated will never ask for your password by email or through the platform.
How Recurated works
Recurated enables registered users to list, browse, buy, and sell secondhand fashion items. The Service is fashion-only — items listed must be clothing, footwear, or fashion accessories.
Sellers
- Must only list items they own and have the legal right to sell.
- Must describe items accurately, including condition, size, and any defects.
- Must ship items within 3 business days of a confirmed sale using tracked shipping.
- Are responsible for any item that does not match its listing description.
Buyers
- Must complete payment through Recurated Payments only.
- Have 2 days after delivery to confirm receipt or open a dispute.
- Must not attempt to deal with sellers outside of Recurated.
Transactions
When a buyer purchases an item, a direct agreement is formed between the buyer and seller. Recurated holds payment in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt. Recurated may intervene in disputes but does not guarantee outcomes in all cases.
Rules for using Recurated
You may only use the Service to sell items you own, upload compliant content, and browse and purchase listed items.
You may not use the Service to:
- Engage in any illegal activity or facilitate illegal transactions.
- List counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items.
- Post misleading, fraudulent, or inaccurate content.
- Harass, bully, or threaten other users.
- Manipulate reviews, ratings, or feedback.
- Scrape, hack, or interfere with the technical operation of the Service.
- List items on multiple platforms without removing them from Recurated once sold.
- Transfer, sell, or gift your account to another person.
- Promote or glorify extremist, violent, or discriminatory organisations or content.
- Conduct transactions outside of Recurated Payments.
Payments
All transactions on Recurated must be completed through Recurated Payments. Off-platform payments — including direct bank transfers, cash, or external payment apps — are strictly prohibited and not covered by Buyer Protection.
Payment processing
Recurated Payments is powered by Stripe. By using Recurated Payments, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and the Stripe Services Agreement.
Accepted payment methods
Recurated accepts Visa, Mastercard, FPX, GrabPay, Touch ’n Go eWallet, and Recurated Wallet balance. All transactions are processed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
Escrow and payouts
Buyer payments are held in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt, or until 2 days have passed since confirmed delivery without a dispute. Seller earnings are deposited to the Recurated Wallet within 48 hours of release.
Negative balances
If a buyer is refunded and this creates a negative balance in your Recurated Payments account, you are required to repay the amount. We may collect this via Direct Debit or Stripe.
Withheld payouts
If your account is suspended or terminated, we may withhold pending payouts for up to 180 days, or longer if required by applicable law or ongoing legal proceedings.
Fees
Selling on Recurated is free. There is no selling fee or commission on your sale price. The only charge is a payment processing fee deducted automatically from your payout when a sale completes.

All fees are calculated on the total transaction amount including shipping and applicable taxes. All fees are automatically reversed if a sale is refunded or cancelled.
Buyer protection
Every purchase completed through Recurated Payments is covered by Recurated Buyer Protection. This means:
- Your payment is held securely in escrow until you confirm receipt.
- If the item does not match the listing description, you may open a dispute within 2 days of delivery.
- If the item does not arrive, you will receive a full refund.
- If a dispute is upheld in the buyer's favour, the seller must arrange return shipping.
Authentication service
Recurated offers an optional Recurated Authentication service for higher-value or branded fashion items. When a seller opts in, the item is shipped to our Penang Authentication Centre before being forwarded to the buyer.
Our specialist team inspects the item to verify its authenticity, condition, and consistency with the listing. If the item passes, it ships to the buyer with a verified seal. If it fails, the buyer is fully refunded and the item is returned to the seller.
Authentication fees vary by item category and value and will be shown clearly before you commit. Authentication typically takes 1–3 business days after the item arrives at our centre.
Recurated's authentication judgements are made in good faith by trained staff. While we take care to be thorough, Recurated does not guarantee the absolute authenticity of any item and shall not be liable for errors made in good faith.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you upload to Recurated, including photos, descriptions, and messages (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant Recurated a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Service.
You must not upload content that is false or misleading, infringes any third party's intellectual property rights, contains personal data of others without their consent, or is offensive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
Recurated reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without notice.
Suspension & termination
Recurated may suspend or permanently terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users or the platform. Where possible, we will notify you of the reason. We reserve the right to act without prior notice in cases involving fraud, illegal activity, or safety risks.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@recurated.my. Pending sales, open disputes, or wallet balances must be resolved before deletion can be processed.
Liability
Recurated provides the Service on an “as is” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Recurated shall not be liable for the accuracy or quality of items listed by sellers, any loss or damage arising from transactions between users, any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, or loss of data, revenue, or profits.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by Malaysian law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service. The current version is always available at recurated.my/terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
