How to create a listing

Sign in and tap "Sell"
Go to recurated.my and sign in to your account. Click the "Sell" button in the navigation bar to open the listing form.

Upload your photos
Add up to 8 photos. The first photo becomes your cover image. Make sure it's your best shot — buyers scroll quickly. (See our photo tips below.)

Fill in the item details
Enter the item title, category, brand (if any), size, condition, and a short description. Be honest about any flaws — it protects you from disputes later.

Set your price
Choose a price in Ringgit (RM). You can also enable offers to let buyers negotiate. See our pricing guide below for tips on pricing secondhand items.

Choose your shipping method
Select your preferred courier and whether the buyer or seller pays for shipping. We recommend including shipping in the price for a smoother experience.

Publish
Review and hit Publish. Your item goes live immediately and buyers can find it through search and category browsing.

Photo tips
Great photos are the single biggest driver of sales. You don't need a camera — your phone is enough.

Use natural light
Shoot near a window during the day. Natural light shows the true colour and fabric texture better than any filter.

Use a plain background
A white wall, light floor, or clean bedsheet works perfectly. The item should be the only thing the buyer is looking at.

Lay flat or hang it
Lay clothes flat on a surface or hang them on a wall hook. Both work — just keep the item wrinkle-free before photographing.

Include detail shots
Close-ups of the label, any logos, stitching, or defects build buyer trust. If there's a small stain, photograph it — it prevents disputes.

Don't use filters
Instagram filters change how the colour looks. Buyers expect what they see. If the item looks different in person, they'll request a return.

Avoid dark or cluttered shots
A dark room or messy background makes items look low quality. Even a well-lit floor is better than a dim bedroom.

Pricing your items
A good price gets you more buyers and fewer low-ball offers. Here's a simple rule of thumb:

New with tags (NWT): 40–60% of retail price
If the original tag is still attached and the item has never been worn, you can price at the higher end.
✓
Like new / worn once: 30–50% of retail
Excellent condition with no visible wear. Buyers appreciate knowing this and will often pay closer to the top of the range.

Fair (visible flaws): under 20% of retail
Pilling, fading, minor stains, or slight damage. Price low and photograph the flaws clearly. There's a buyer for everything — just be honest.

Item condition guide
When listing, you'll choose one of these condition labels. Pick the one that honestly describes your item.
New with tagsNever worn. Original tags attached. No signs of use at all.
Like newWorn once or twice. No visible flaws, no pilling, no fading.
FairVisible wear, minor pilling, small stains, or slight fading. Must be photographed and disclosed.

Important: Listing an item in better condition than it actually is is the most common reason for buyer disputes. When in doubt, go one level lower — buyers are pleasantly surprised, not disappointed.

After a sale — what to do
Someone bought your item — here's exactly what happens next.
Immediately
You get a notification
You'll receive an email and in-app notification with the buyer's shipping address and order details. The payment is held securely in escrow — you'll get paid once the buyer receives the item.
Within 3 days
Pack and ship the item
Package the item carefully (see shipping tips below) and drop it off with your chosen courier. Enter the tracking number in the Recurated app so the buyer can follow along.
In transit
Buyer receives tracking updates
The buyer gets automatic tracking notifications. You don't need to do anything at this stage — just make sure the tracking number is entered correctly.
After delivery
Buyer confirms receipt (2-day window)
Once delivered, the buyer has 2 days to confirm the item matches the listing. If they don't respond, the sale is automatically confirmed and you get paid.
Within 48 hours of confirmation
Your payout lands in your Recurated Wallet
The sale amount (minus payment processing fees) is deposited to your Recurated Wallet. You can withdraw to your bank account at any time.

Good communication = fewer disputes. If there's a delay in shipping, message the buyer through the app to let them know. Most buyers are understanding — it's the silence that causes problems.

Shipping instructions
You arrange and pay for shipping (or pass the cost to the buyer at checkout — your choice). Here's how to do it right.

Pack the item properly
Fold clothes neatly and wrap in a poly mailer bag or plastic wrap before placing in a box or padded envelope. For shoes, wrap individually in bubble wrap. Items that arrive damaged reflect on your seller rating.

Choose a courier
We recommend J&T Express, Ninja Van, or Pos Laju for domestic Malaysia delivery — all have drop-off points nationwide. Book through their apps or websites for cheaper rates than walk-in.

Write the address clearly
Copy the buyer's address exactly from the Recurated order page. Include your own return address on the back of the parcel in case of failed delivery.

Enter tracking number in the app
Once you've dropped off the parcel, go to your order in the Recurated app and enter the tracking number. Do this within 24 hours of drop-off. This protects you — if a buyer claims non-receipt, your tracking number is your proof.

Always use tracked shipping. Untracked parcels are not covered under Recurated Buyer Protection. If a buyer claims non-receipt and you have no tracking, we are unable to resolve it in your favour.

How payouts work
All your earnings go into your Recurated Wallet first. From there, you can withdraw to your bank account anytime.

Sale is confirmed → funds land in your Wallet
Within 48 hours of the buyer confirming receipt (or auto-confirmation after 2 days), your earnings are released into your Recurated Wallet.

Go to Wallet → Withdraw
Open your profile, tap Wallet, then Withdraw. Enter the amount and confirm your bank details. Make sure your account name matches your registered name exactly.

Money arrives in your bank within 1–3 business days
Most withdrawals process within 48 hours. Some banks (especially smaller ones) may take up to 3 business days. Weekends and public holidays add processing time.
💡
Your Wallet balance can also be used to shop on Recurated — no need to withdraw if you want to buy something. Your Wallet is also where refunds land if a sale is cancelled.

Fees
Selling on Recurated is free. You only pay a small payment processing fee when you make a sale.

All fees are refunded automatically if a sale is cancelled or a buyer is refunded. You will never be charged for a transaction that didn't complete.
